Advisory 2020-10 Potential Data Loss Issue in FileCloud Version 20.2.2.12030

A potential data loss issue exists in FileCloud version 20.2.2.12030, released on October 21, 2020.

Issue:
For users of Amazon S3 or Microsoft Azure storage, when files were uploaded in chunks, each chunk uploaded was overwriting the previous one; therefore, the original file was not saved. This was due to a bug in file id generation.

Note: Files larger than 20MB are uploaded in chunks.

Fix:
This has been fixed in FileCloud version 20.2.2.12034

If you are using the FileCloud on-premise installation, please update it to the latest version, which is 20.2.2.12034 or greater.
If you are using FileCloud online, your site is not impacted by this issue.
